Your Step-by-Step Setup Journey

Step 1: Connect and Meet Trezor Suite

Plug your Trezor into your computer using the provided cable. Now, open your browser and visit suite.trezor.io. Here you'll download Trezor Suite, our dedicated desktop application.

Step 2: Install the Firmware

Step 3: Create Your Recovery Seed – Your Most Important Task

This is the heart of your security. Your Trezor will generate a unique sequence of words—your Recovery Seed Phrase.

  1. Words appear only on your Trezor's screen. Look away from your computer—this is between you and your device

  2. Take your Recovery Seed Card and write each word clearly in order

  3. Double-check your work—is your handwriting legible? Are the words correct?

  4. Trezor will ask you to confirm random words to verify you've written them correctly

This seed phrase is your master key. Treat it with the importance it deserves.

  • Never digitize it – No photos, no cloud storage, no typing

  • Store it physically – A fireproof safe or safety deposit box is ideal
